Kym Jarvis is the owner and a medically trained esthetician. Kym is always looking for new ways to grow as a business and make each and every client walk out the door, after an amazing service, with a smile. She is a passionate and dedicated woman. She enjoys working with people and mentoring anyone she can. Her people skills give the salon a fun and inviting atmosphere.
Marcy is our Master Stylist and has been in the industry since the early 80’s and she has been at Turning Heads since 2001. With updated education Marcy is always on top of the latest trends. Marcy oversees the Apprenticeship program, by selecting and “raising” our future professionals on their journey to professionals!
Sheena has been with the Turning since late 2010. Her magnetic personality has built her a strong following of clientele. She has been a stylist since 2006, and her love of the industry has made her a dedicated stylist that can create any hairstyle you could ever imagine. Sheena’s extreme interest in doing great hair has her always learning and growing as a stylist. She is also pursuing education program with Paul Mitchell that will lead to her becoming a certified educator, take her career to the next level.
Erica has been with us since March, she has been a stylist since 2007, and she has been working with Paul Mitchell since 2003! Erica first started working with Paul Mitchell at the age of 16 when she assisted behind the stage at a Paul Mitchell hair show. Recently, Erica became a Certified Paul Mitchell Educator. As an Educator Erica will be able to go to other salons and share all the amazing things Paul Mitchell has to offer. This is the first of four steps to becoming a Platform Artist! Dreams do come true!
Alyssa is one of the salon’s top rising star. Alyssa is newly licensed but been with the Turning Heads family since 2009. She apprenticed under our master stylist Marcy, making her a phenomenal stylist with great attention to detail. Her passion for hair will keep you coming back!
Ashley, also known as "Fraser" around the shop, has recently finished her apprenticeship training program with Delmar College. She will be joining to assist Marcy and Sheena as Alyssa moves full time onto the floor as a stylist. Ashley is very, very excited to learn under the talent at Turning Heads and very much is looking forward to getting her hands into some hair!
Teresa Walker is our newest assistant. She is thrilled to be a part of the Turning Heads family, and honored to have the opportunity to work alongside some of the best Stylists in the industry. Teresa is determined to be an exceptional hairstylist, and is anxious to get started, and we can’t wait to watch her take the hair world by storm!
Erin Tilling is a graduate from the Esthetician Training Program at Delmar College of Hair Design. Erin was a part of the very first class of Estheticians at Delmar, and while she was in school, the Training Spa was nominated for a Best of Calgary Award. Erin has worked as a Teaching Aid at Delmar, assisting with Jane Iredale Makeup Application Classes. Erin also supports the Esthetics Instructors with the new Esthetician classes. Erin is fully trained in all esthetics but specializes in medical esthetics, including Microdermabrasion and Light Therapy Treatments.
After graduating from the Academy of Cosmetology in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Rainbow MacKay made the decision to bring her East Coast charm to Calgary. Rainbow is also trained in Medical Esthetics with experience in Microdermabrasion, Rainbow enjoys performing Manicures and Pedicures and she has a special talent for Shellac. Rainbow’s love of Esthetics stems from the joy she feels when enhancing a client’s natural beauty, while bringing smiles every day.
